These pieces for daily use, thrown on my potter’s wheel, are made of speckled buff stoneware. Pale pink at the first firing, the clay becomes beige at the second firing and the iron speckles appear, blending with the matte white glaze from the inside to give a soft finish to the touch. The firing process gives the celadon glaze a brighter finish. The two glazes allow the pieces to be microwaveable, safe to use in the oven up to 350F and go in the dishwasher. Two sizes of bowls and glasses / cups are offered. This collection also includes utensil pots.
Each piece is unique and is entirely handmade.
